About Our School

The school will provide quality instruction and ensure that each student will receive the highest degree of preparation for his/her Bar/Bat mitzvah.

Periodic three way communication between parents, clergy and school will allow for ongoing evaluation.

Specific requirements from each synagogue will be addressed. The rituals behind Tefillin and Talit, their application and meanings will be taught.

We are dedicated to guiding each individual to reach his/her potential in the joy and fulfillment of this great milestone in their life.

Punctuality

It is essential that students arrive on time.  It is equally important to pick up your child on time so as not to interrupt the next class.  If you are unavoidably detained, your child will be asked to wait for you without supervision in the Lobby of the school.  The school will not be responsible for your child before or after their class.

Student Absences

Should your child be ill and unable to attend class, please contact Muriel at 613-789-5508 or cellphone at 613-266-7984.  If your child is in a group class, due to our class size we will not be able to provide make up classes for student absences.  Therefore ensure that your child attends regularly.  Please do not send your child to school if he or she is sick.  If your child should unavoidably miss numerous classes, parents can make arrangements  for additional private classes with Cantor Benlolo for a fee.

Cantor’s Absences

As a member of the community's clergy, Cantor Benlolo has numerous responsibilities.  He will occasionally be needed to fulfill certain obligations (funerals, community events).
